Lola's Potting Shed

 This  little potting shed belongs to  Mule Skinner's wife. It is  adorable! And it has a stone patio in front. How cute! Looks like something you would find in a country magazine doesn't it?  Lola must love it!

MuleSkinner and the Potato Gun....

"Karla made a potato gun for her boys and dad got to play with it while they were in Idaho visiting. Dad thought his Missouri grandkids needed to have the same thing


so he built one and couldn't wait for the grandkids to come and try it out.

He is still working on some details like a pressure release valve before he sends it home with the kids. My boys spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa the Sunday before school started

and they kept Grandpa and the air compressor busy shooting potatoes that mom had grown in her garden.

Doug and the kids came over and each kid had to take turns shooting the potatoes. Luke loved shoving the potatoes in but he didn't want to pull the "trigger". Dad used a broomstick as a ramrod and they saw how far they could shoot potatoes.


You can also shoot water with it but dad concentrated on potatoes. The first shot that they did started Katelynn and she started crying but she got used to the banging and then the cheering.




I believe Grandpa had as much fun as the grandkids did."

Muleskinner and Tool Belt Jim Making a Tool Shed...

Poppy's Brother Mule Skinner brought over some logs that he wanted cut up into lumber so he could build a tool shed. Now I thought he was building his wife "Mother Dear" a potting shed but that must be coming later. What a beautiful day it was to be working outside too!

Poppy is loading some already cut up lumber onto the trailer.

Mule Skinner and Poppy's  dad " Allis Man" is watching. He use to have his own sawmill and was a logger in Oregon so he and "Mrs. Allis" came over to watch the goings on. They are Allis Chalmers tractor fans.

Can you tell Mule Skinner is enjoying this?

My guess is "Mrs. Allis" is enjoying watching her boys working together.

Poppy  has one of the logs loaded and is taking it to the sawmill for cutting up.

Isn't this a great project for family to be doing together on a sunny day?

And I am so glad Allis Man and Mrs. Allis got to come.

Mule Skinner told me these large beams will be used as skids for the Tool Shed.

My guess is this is the left over stuff that goes to the burn pile.
