Roses, Roses Everywhere...

There is just something about a rose. It's velvety beauty cannot be matched. It's old fashioned and usually everyone has memories of the roses climbing the trellis at Grandma's house. And they are almost impossible to kill so what better flower is there? I personally love the rose! So when I was shopping one time and ran across the softest pink P.J.' with roses on them they had to be made for me!
And I keep them at my "cottage house" and sleep in them the nights I stay there. I have this queen size bed there that is just like sleeping on a cloud. It reminds me of when I was little sleeping on the bed with a feather mattress on it at my grandma's house. You would just sink down in that mattress like sinking in a fluffy cloud and it was always so soft and warm. Just like those pink flannel P.J.'s I bought with the roses on them.
Tool Belt Jim bought me roses for valentines day and my favorite magazine had a bouquet of roses on its cover. So what better thing to do than put on my P.J.'s, take my magazine and climb into that giant bed of softness and read? By the way check out Mary Janes Farm at http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/ . It's full of old fashioned pictures and wonderful stories. It's called the everyday organic lifestyle magazine and I love it!

More of my favorite things with roses on them. Old-fashioned, delicate, pretty.

My pink tea set given to me by a dear friend. And the little pink perfume bottle is so special and feminine and dainty and reminds me of days gone past long ago...

and my favorite picture of a little girl with her puppy having a tea party amongst the roses...

I even have roses on my shower curtain.
and a rose tapestry painting in my family room in town...
Yes, I definitely have a love affair with the rose. Probably will never end.....
